How Education, Wealth & Poverty interconnects with sustainable improvements towards Mount Everest?
From this map which was collated in 2015 it shows Nepal is a light shade of red, meaning it is one of the ‘poorer countries' in the world. Mount Everest is some of the Nepal’s largest amount of financial support. Which would impact the Nepalese government's views regarding sustainability and risk factors concerning Mount Everest, as it is such a big part of their financial support. Also saying that as they are the 19th poorest country in the world Nepal wouldn’t want to be spending money on sustainable attire for Mount Everest, as there are larger problems in their country such as poverty. So in order to achieve the outcome of ‘finding sustainable ways for people and place in which Mount Everest can be managed’ it is needed to be at a low price so it is therefore fund-able by Nepal.
