Refurbishments of Trees & Vital Nurtrients
|
In the 1950’s the forest where lush with plant life. Today’s issue is the significant cutback on trees and plantation surrounding Mount Everest regarding the lower altitudes which is severally impacting the natural environment. Trees are used as firewood and burned for heating, cooking and hot showers whilst climbing Mount Everest, these energy sources to comply with the thousands of tourists each year are growing scarce. In order to stop this issue, there needs to be a resolution which is fundable for Nepal and provides profit for the near future. The solution is using biogas energy such as kerosene. Kerosene is a light oil obtained by refined fuel which is proven to have next to the same or even more energy source on Mount Everest as fire wood. Roughly 2 gallons of Kerosene lasts 12 hours which is long lasting. The price of 1 gallon or 3.7 litres of Kerosene is AUS $1.50, which is not expensive at all if 2 gallons will last you 12 hours. $1 AUS is converted into $147 Nepalese Rupee. Nepal can stock Kerosene and provide mountaineers this energy source when climbing Mount Everest. If Mount Everest promotes a specific brand in Kerosene this would be a profitable organization. Nepal’s government could place a law saying all participants taking part in climbing Mount Everest must supply or be supplied with Kerosene in order to take place in the climb. This idea is fund able for Nepal, profitable and sustainable and ongoing.

Employment Opportunities for the Nepalese Community
Mount Everest climbers produce a lot of rubbish and waste which is getting out of hand. This waste is not being getting taken care of even after many accounts to try to. To help prevent the amount of litter destroying Mount Everest. Nepal could come up with a new source of employment for the Nepalese which entitles picking waste both human and litter. This source of employment is both beneficial for the Nepalese community and the natural environment. By suppling this job it is providing opportunities for Nepalese to help support their families and regain control with their life’s and starting to break the cycle of poverty. It is profitable for Nepal as all this money is being refunding back into the community itself whilst cleaning up the state of Mount Everest.

Eco-Friendly Supplies/EquipmentThe past few years the quantity of litter being produced by supplies and attire, has reached its peak and it is only going to get worse if there is no one putting a stop to it. The main issue with the amount of waste is it is non-biodegradable: meaning it cannot dissolve into the earth. However there is a new alternative now with the existing knowledge and research, Eco-friendly attire (equipment) for climbers to use. Eco-friendly equipment is a new and upcoming project which allows mountaineers to litter (even though it is highly disapproved) without a lot of damage being done to the atmosphere. Although Ecological supplies can be a bit pricier it does help in the long term. Conversational gear is beneficial for Nepal both financially and environmentally. Nepal can produce the new equipment and Mount Everest could promote a specific brand regarding the equipment which is advantageous economically. Also the Nepalese government could get on board creating a new law concerning the use of gear which states ‘mountaineers climbing Mount Everest must only pack attire suitable to the criteria proposed by Mount Everest’. The criteria could discuss the new Environmental friendly attire. This proposal is a long term, ongoing idea which allows Nepal to be benefited financially which will contribute to Nepal’s communities’.
